9.00 - ca 14.00 optional social programme

• a trip to Seeon monastery church and cloisters (another abbey on an island, active from 994-1805), with an introduction to Mozart's Seeon-related activities with a piece Mozart composed for the church music in Seeon (“offertorium” – music for presentation of gifts in the catholic liturgy.
  Walk (approx two-hours) in the beautiful Chiemgau: to Griessee and back. Lunch availible either at the monastery restaurant or in Herzogstuben restaurant both in Seeon.
  
• a boat-trip to the island [Herreninsel] with a guided tour through the famous castle of Herrenchiemsee (built by Ludwig II, trying to imitate Versaille)

(because of the long winter we are sorry to inform you that the  the originally planned walk to a mountain-lake and a typical alpine hut had to be cancelled due to bad path conditions.)
